Painting the stories we find
in ordinary things
I’m a Vietnamese-Australian artist based in South Australia, drawn to the meaning held in everyday objects and experiences. Using realism and unexpected shifts in form, I paint the familiar not to distort it, but to uncover what might otherwise remain unseen. My paintings begin with moments from my own life—family, migration, motherhood and cultural identity—but often reveal how much of our experience is shared.
